The Chatham Sartomer 5K race is coming!
On October 18th, 2008, Sartomer Corporation and
other Chatham community supporters present, The 12th
annual 5k Run/Walk & 1 mile Fun-Run to benefit the Chatham
Volunteer Fire Department, the American Red Cross, and the Chatham Rescue
Squad.
Sponsors & race entries are now being sought
to support one of the most enjoyable and successful events in the area.
Sign-up and keep your own pace on the shaded 5K trail
through the beautiful campuses of Hargrave Military Academy and Chatham
Hall Girls School, or just come out to cheer the runners from the sidelines.

to enter the race, make a donation or become a sponsor.
Join in the fun, Rain or Shine.
First 250 entrants receive a shirt & goodie-bag
All Fun-Run finishers receive ribbons - for 5K placement

RACE INFORMATION
Registration
Procedures:
There will be race day registration from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.,
near the start /finish.
Starting Times:
Race Day Registration:
7:30 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.
Pre-reg
Packet Pickup: 7:30 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.
1 Mile Fun-Run/Walk - 9:00 AM
5K Run/Walk - 9:30 AM
Participants meet at corner of Main & Center Streets
Parking Available at the Pittsyvania County Courthouse/Sheriff's
Dept Parking Lot & Main Street
We reserve the right to reject any entry.
Certification: The 5K course has been TAC certified to national
standards: VA98028RT
Liquids & Refreshments: Available at the start/finish line and two points along the course
provided
by Danville Bottled Water Service, the Pepsi Bottling
Group and Meriwether Godsey, Inc., Old Dutch Super Market & Food Lion Stores
T-shirt:
Guaranteed for the first 300 Pre-registered runner and walkers.

Dept Parking Lot & Main Street
The Town of Chatham, Virginia is located on Hwy 29:
- 30 miles North of Danville, Virginia
- 45 miles South of Lynchburg
DIRECTIONS to CHATHAM:
From the WEST:
Take Route 57 East which ends at the traffic light
on Main Street;
Turn LEFT going North. Second road on your Left
is Center St.
From the EAST:
Take Route 57 West ending at the red blinking
"half-a-traffic light" on Main St.
Turn RIGHT going North. Third road on your Left
is Center St.
From the SOUTH:
From 29 North, Take the first Chatham Exit into
town.
This ramp puts you directly onto Main St.
Continue North through the blinking yellow light
and the one real traffic light in Chatham.
After the Light, the Third road on your Left is
Center St.
From the NORTH:
From 29 South, Take the first Chatham Exit into
town.
Park when you see a bunch of people in jogging shorts
If you get to the traffic light in town - you've
gone too far.
